You should also ensure a good dose of Vitamin A which is essential for the well being of your skin. Supple, well hydrated skin looks beautiful and fresh. Hike up your water intake and this is what you can get. Therefore, you should drink plenty of water to keep the skin well hydrated. Did you know that smoking can cause premature aging? Wrinkles are common in those who smoke. This is because of all the toxic substances that enter your body. Stopping smoking can significantly help your looks. Hair – Shiny, glossy and a thick cascade of hair can only be had with a healthy diet. Hair is often damaged through cosmetic treatments such as straitening, permings, bonding etc. They are also damaged by various shampoos and conditioners that promise healthy hair. However, you should know that if you wish for healthy, strong, glossy hair, a balanced diet is the main contributor. Hair is composed mainly of protein and not calcium. Therefore, you need to make sure that you take in adequate amounts of protein in your diet which includes soy, whole grains, legumes, beans, and meat from animal sources. With the right mix of proteins, iron and other essential minerals as well as vitamins, you can have a lustrous crown full of shiny, glossy hair that will enhance your beauty.

Teeth – A smile is worth a thousand words. However, this can only be true if you have a beautiful set of teeth. Your teeth too are affected by your diet. Gum diseases and tooth decay can significantly alter your appearance. This can be remedied with good dental hygiene and a proper diet. Decay occurs when acid products from oral bacteria destroy the teeth and hard tissues of the mouth. Some foods that you eat increase the growth of cavity-causing bacteria. Although gum diseases may not be directly related to your diet, eating the wrong foods can aggravate the situation. Chocolates and other sweets are common foods that increase cavity-causing bacteria. Avoiding these foods can help you to beam a 1000 watt smile that will set you apart as a definite looker.
