Overview
Rarity Communities, the largest developer of planned communities in Tennessee with 14 Rarity properties across the state, has pledged to make Rarity Rivers, now under development just across the Tennessee River on state Highway 60, its premier community. "This will be by far the nicest community we have ever built," Rarity Executive Vice President Fred McArthur told a group of about 60 prospective buyers Saturday. Rarity held an informational meeting Saturday morning for prospective buyers, local officials, real estate agents, bankers and builders on its property in Meigs County, just a stone's throw from the Tri-County Veterans Memorial Bridge and Rhea County. Rarity provided a buffet brunch catered by Rothchild's of Knoxville and helicopter tours of the area, as well as the informational meeting and question and answer session.
