About Thompson Overlook
Many parks, trails and recreational areas in Loveland can be accessed through the walking and bike path that run adjacent to Thompson Overlook. Within a few minute walk of the community is a large nature reserve and open space area. Residents are just a short drive to Mariana Butte Golf Course, Lake Loveland, Devil’s Backbone, and more. Just a short drive west of the city is the Big Thompson Canyon and Rocky Mountain National Park. Because of the close proximity, Loveland is also nationally known for being the "gateway to the Rockies”.
The community is within a few minute walk to Walgreens and a Safeway anchored grocery center and a short bike ride into Downtown Loveland. Thompson Overlook has easy access to three major highways. Thompson Overlook provides convenient access for residents working in Loveland or looking to commute to Greeley by Highway 34 or Berthoud, Longmont, or areas further south by taking Highway 402. Residents can quickly access Fort Collins with minimal traffic or interruption by taking Wilson Avenue or by taking Highway 287.
