Pilgrim Place is a 32-acre continuing care retirement community with a history dating to 1915. Its independent-living campus includes 185 private residences and a continuum that extends to assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. Admission begins at age 60 and also considers an applicant's record of service, along with health and financial requirements. Resident governance, intergenerational programs with the Claremont Colleges, environmental initiatives and resident-organized activities are central features of community life. The nonprofit operates under a Type B Modified CCRC contract.

For 2026, the published non-refundable entrance fee is $475 per square foot for single occupancy, while a deferred-repayment option is $807.50 per square foot; monthly rent, dining and residential fees are additional.

The 32-acre campus includes a Fitness & Aquatic Center with a salt-water pool and warm-water therapy spa, plus classes such as yoga, balance and chair exercises. Residents also have access to community gardens and a greenhouse, the Pendleton Arts & Crafts facilities, Porter Hall and its library, Decker Hall for lectures and performances, and the Petterson Museum of Intercultural Art. Dining is provided on campus, while resident-led groups organize musical, educational, spiritual and social activities.
