I was surfing Active Adult Living.Com,THE place on the web to go to, if you are looking for 55+ home purchase or rental options within a 55+ active adult living community. If you are like my friend Logan, who has just retired and looking to settle down in New Jersey, then a jewel of a retirement community that I found among the rest of the gems listed on the site is gonna make you wanna move there too. So, what am I talking about here? I am talking about Summerfields West in Williamstown (Gloucester County), NJ – an intimate 55+ manufactured home community that has recently opened their doors to those lucky people like the Plummers who purchase the first home in the community…Read on and see why I call the Plummers lucky and then tell me whether you and I are on the same wavelength on this matter.
To get the scoop on the opening and the 1st home key handing over affair, I dialed Mr. Brian Temple, the president of The Temple Companies. According to him, the first homebuyers moved into Summerfields West on April 16th 2012. This is southern New Jersey’s newest community offering developed by The Temple Companies. Mr. and Mrs. Plummer purchased a new Wildflower model in October, 2011 and were presented with the keys six months later – right on schedule. “We’re extremely proud to welcome the Plummers into Summerfields West”, said Brian Temple, “We are very proud of this community and are thrilled to be building in the area again,” he reiterated. “We’re extremely grateful for the trust that Mr. and Mrs. Plummer have placed in us by being first, the first of many more to come.”
The Temple Companies released phase I of this attractive active adult community in November of 2011, and since that time have been actively welcoming guests through its sales office. “We’ve had overwhelmingly positive response both to our model homes and plans for the community,” said Temple, “these are our nicest looking model homes ever.” With one hundred and forty five units approved and a second section of the community in the planning stage, Summerfields West is certain to attract southern New Jersey’s most discerning active adult homebuyers. “Homebuyers should keep in mind that the availability of the sites in Phase I is quite limited and the interest is growing by the day,” says Temple.
Now here is what I found out about the amenities, home interior and the layouts, that makes it an ideal retirement nook for you and the love of your life… or if you are single, you will still have a wonderful time mingling with the likeminded BBs surrounding you in the community… that BB is my acronym for Baby Boomers who are sailing gracefully into their retirement age (that explanation was for those of you folks who assumed that BB was an abbreviation of something else!)
