Where to Fire Up Your Next Round In Goodyear

Don’t worry about packing up your clubs for the season, because in Goodyear Arizona, tee time is a year-round event. Whatever your level of expertise, when it comes to nailing the perfect swing, the Phoenix metro area is the Rolls Royce of golf destinations with over 300 courses-nearly equaling the number of sunny days per year, and has been featured by Golf Digest as one of the top golf destinations in the country. Home to half a dozen championship fairways, the suburb of Goodyear is a Maricopa County favorite – a little more low-key than the city of Phoenix, but no less ahead of the game.

Tres Rios
Warm up at your own pace with a hike through Estrella Mountain Regional Park for 20,000 acres of everything from horseback riding, to trail runs, but this kind of scenic overture can only mean one thing – breathtaking golf. With the Estrella Mountains setting the stage, the park is also home to Tres Rios Golf Course – a sprawling Red Lawrence designed 71-par fairway revamped in 1998 to include a pro-shop, bar and grill, and offer world-class practice facilities for burgeoning golf newbies.

Golf Club at Estrella
Part of the internationally acclaimed Troon family of golf facilities, Golf Club at Estrella pairs sweeping mountain views with celebrity caliber amenities. The Jack Nicklaus design was named one of Arizona’s best by Golfweek Magazine and has also been featured by Golf Digest. Located within the master-planned community of Estrella, this challenging 72-par 18 hole course features unique split fairways and immaculate landscaping for 7,102 yards of the smoothest green you’ll ever lay your clubs on.

Tuscany Falls & Eagle’s Nest
Nothing beats the feeling of driving home a straight shot, and when it comes to killer golf skills, the 55 + set has it down to a science. Tucked within the retirement community of Pebble Creek, two championship courses offer public tee times on a 27-hole palm laden piece of paradise. A golf enthusiast’s dream, Tuscany Falls features an immaculately landscaped Dick Bailey design in an affluent setting that includes an upscale restaurant and lounge. Also rolling out the red carpet – or rather, green- Pebble Creek is home to Eagle’s Nest, and the Eagle’s Nest Country Club where dramatic views of the White Tank Mountains are the idyllic backdrop to this elite course. Guests are welcome to browse the pro-shop or linger over a post-game cocktail and dinner at the Country Club restaurant, but the best part about this golf community is having two luxurious courses to play and better yet, improve your chance of scoring a hole-in-one.
