We, at ActiveAdultLiving.com®, have decided to make it easier by providing you with 4 great golfing destinations.

California

This state has the greatest number of golf courses according to Golf Magazine. Cypress Point Club, Pebble Beach is ranked number one. Golf enthusiasts are in luck as there are a number of active adult communities in California. Some of these communities also come with their own golf courses. Sun Lakes Country Club in Banning and The Villages Golf and Country Club in San Jose are two such 55+ communities.

South Carolina

There are 84 golf courses in the Palmetto state. The highest ranked by Golf Digest is The Ocean Course, Kiawah Island. This is one of four golf courses in the US to have hosted every major PGA event in the country. If you wish to retire in South Carolina, you have access to a number of senior living communities with golf courses. These include Sun City Carolina Lakes by Del Webb in Fort Mill and Cobblestone Park by D R Horton in Blythewood.

Florida

There are more than 1,000 golf courses in Florida. Out of these, 5 have been ranked in the Top 100 Courses by Golf Magazine. Florida has golf courses for all skill levels, and this is a plus point and one to consider when you retire to Florida. There are 834 55+ communities in Florida and some feature golf courses.
