Encinitas is our coastal community located about 16 miles north of the city of San Diego.   We are gifted with cool ocean breezes and temperate climate all year long, which makes our location so desirable.  Despite lots of population growth over the last number of years, we continue to retain that small-town feel because of the old-fashioned main street which is a part of the Pacific Coast Highway.  Residents can stroll through the downtown area just as they did fifty years ago, and the town still reflects its beach flavor while upgrading the street with a new promenade.  Encinitas has many fine restaurants and shops, as well as new stores to the east of town, and new parks greenbelts abound.   High Country Villas is centrally located about two miles east of the I-5, and with its views and homes set on hills,  makes a desirable place to retire.  This community includes amenities such as golf, swimming, and a clubhouse with activities, all geared to an active senior lifestyle.
